Costs
Since 1992 we have done our best to keep the cost of getting great
food to you at the most reasonable price. We charge just 4.50 at lunch and a
dollar more at dinner to have your great food picked up and delivered. Amazing
as this may seem to you, it is absolutely true. The size of your order does not
matter and we do not charge per item, per bag or otherwise. Some longer
deliveries require a higher delivery fee, but this will be clear to you as you
select your restaurant. All prices reflect a cash discount. Non-cash orders
incur a processing fee. We also add sales tax as required by law.
A Little More About
Delivery Fees
Unlike most restaurant delivery, Delivery Now spells out and
clearly displays your delivery fee on your receipt. We have surveyed and
researched what restaurants do and have found that despite advertising free delivery,
most build additional cost into their food pricing. At the most prominent
national pizza delivery chain you can get a "discount" for pickup. In
fact, this chain charges as much at two dollars less PER PIZZA for pick up.
Other New Jersey restaurants simply add a few dollars to the price of certain
items. These practices often make your "free" delivery not at all
free. Furthermore these practices are unfair and somewhat dishonest.
Our committment to you is that you will always see
your delivery fee itemized on your receipt. That we advertise, disclose and
itemize our delivery fee has always been a competitive disadvantage for us. But
we feel it's all about honesty. In all fairness, we did find in our research
that some chinese
restaurants are now showing their delivery fees at the bottom of their
receipts. In most cases the fees are just a couple of dollars.
Let's face it, delivery is about convenience; both of time and of effort. No
service like this can truly be free. We think that when you consider the time,
gas and potential parking components of picking up dinner, that a modest
delivery fee is reasonable and fair.
Payments & Corporate Accounts
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards for payments. Corporate
charges are available to qualified companies. Click here for more information on corporate
accounts.
If you pay by credit card, you may need to have the card available at the time
of delivery. If you have a billing account with us you will be asked to sign a
delivery receipt by our delivery personnel.
Driver Tips
Our drivers work very hard to bring your meal to you hot and fresh,
while maintaining the highest safety standards. Please reward their efforts
with your gratuities. When ordering you will have the option of including your
tip in your payment. If you wish to tip separately in cash, this is fine and
acceptable. Please remember that our delivery staff depends on tipping for
their income.
